A visit to the Rose Ann Hall Workshop

In 2005, at our first “grand location” at the New York Gift Show on Pier 92, a fella walks up to us and starts some small talk and then says where do you make your product. I say San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. He says, me too. We’ve been friends ever since. 

 

 

Charlie Hall left the corporate world and took over his mother’s business, Rose Ann Hall Designs, a line focused on handmade candles (and I mean, handmade...one ladle at a time) and etched (grabador) glass, primarily drinking glasses. Product that is artisan made and driven, Charlie gets the added feather in the cap by making an effort to hire disabled employees--an anomaly in Mexico--making up about 30% of his work force. A visit to his factory and you are always met by a host of happy once stray dogs. Charlie is a big dog lover!
